Electricity with bike parts

William grew up in a small village in Malawi that didn't have electricity. William wanted to study, but he had to leave school because his family couldn't pay for it.

One day, he remembered a picture of a windmill in a textbook from school. What did he do? He decided to make his own windmill with old car and bicycle parts. He then had a better idea. He would provide electricity for the whole village!

At first, some people in his village thought the windmill was a silly idea. But pretty soon they were charging their cell phones with electricity from William's windmill! William is an adult now and is working on projects to help others all around the world.
